Marine Rules

Navigation lights must be displayed from sunset to sunrise and in restricted visibility. Visibility distances (in nautical miles – NM) depend on vessel length: under 12m require 1NM for sidelights and 2NM for masthead/all-round lights, while 12–50m vessels require 2–5NM visibility. Mandatory for preventing collisions, these lights must be visible within specific arcs (e.g., sidelights 112.5°)
